February Super Bowl Veggie Juice

Combining broccoli, carrots, and leeks into a juice can create a flavorful and nutritious beverage packed with vitamins A, C, and K, fiber, minerals, and antioxidants. Enjoy it as a refreshing drink to start your day or as a healthy snack anytime. Here's a simple recipe for making Super Bowl Veggie juice:

Ingredients:

1 cup broccoli florets

2 medium carrots, washed and trimmed

1 leek, washed thoroughly and chopped

1-2 cups of water (adjust according to desired consistency)

Optional: a squeeze of lemon juice or a piece of ginger for added flavor

Instructions:

1. Wash all the vegetables thoroughly under running water.

2. Chop the broccoli into small florets, peel and chop the carrots into chunks, and chop the leek into smaller pieces.

3. In a blender or juicer, combine the chopped broccoli, carrots, and leeks.

4. Add 1-2 cups of water to help blend the vegetables into a smooth consistency. You can adjust the amount of water depending on how thick or thin you prefer your juice.

5. Blend until smooth. If using a blender, you may need to strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp.

6. Optionally, you can add a squeeze of lemon juice or a small piece of ginger for added flavor and health benefits.

7. Pour the juice into glasses and serve immediately.

Adjust the ingredients and proportions according to your taste preferences.
