September Festival Veggie Juice
September Festival Veggie Juice captures the warm and comforting flavors of fall with pumpkin, butternut squash, sweet potato, and a hint of apple and spice. The optional sweetener enhances the natural sweetness of the vegetables, and the spices add a cozy aroma. Pumpkins and butternut squash are high in vitamin A and C. Sweet potatoes provide fiber.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin, peeled and diced
- 1 cup butternut squash, peeled and diced
- 1 cup sweet potato, peeled and diced
- 1 carrot, peeled and sliced
- 1 apple, cored and sliced
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional, depending on sweetness preference)
- 1 lemon, peeled
- 1 cup cold water
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
- Peel and dice the pumpkin, butternut squash, and sweet potato.
- Peel and slice the carrot.
- Core and slice the apple.
- Peel the ginger.
Juicing:
- In a juicer, combine the diced pumpkin, diced butternut squash, diced sweet potato, sliced carrot, sliced apple, peeled ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and peeled lemon. If you don't have a juicer, you can use a blender and strain the juice afterward.
Add Sweetener (Optional):
- Taste the juice and, if desired, add maple syrup or honey to sweeten. Adjust the sweetness based on your preference.
Optional: Add Ice:
- If you prefer a chilled juice, you can add ice cubes to the freshly squeezed juice.
Mix:
- Stir the juice to combine all the flavors.
Serve:
- Pour the Autumn Veggie Harvest Juice into glasses and serve immediately.
