September Festival Veggie Juice

September Festival Veggie Juice captures the warm and comforting flavors of fall with pumpkin, butternut squash, sweet potato, and a hint of apple and spice. The optional sweetener enhances the natural sweetness of the vegetables, and the spices add a cozy aroma. Pumpkins and butternut squash are high in vitamin A and C. Sweet potatoes provide fiber.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pumpkin, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup butternut squash, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup sweet potato, peeled and diced
  • 1 carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional, depending on sweetness preference)
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Peel and dice the pumpkin, butternut squash, and sweet potato.
    • Peel and slice the carrot.
    • Core and slice the apple.
    • Peel the ginger.
  2. Juicing:

    • In a juicer, combine the diced pumpkin, diced butternut squash, diced sweet potato, sliced carrot, sliced apple, peeled ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and peeled lemon. If you don't have a juicer, you can use a blender and strain the juice afterward.
  3. Add Sweetener (Optional):

    • Taste the juice and, if desired, add maple syrup or honey to sweeten. Adjust the sweetness based on your preference.
  4. Optional: Add Ice:

    • If you prefer a chilled juice, you can add ice cubes to the freshly squeezed juice.
  5. Mix:

    • Stir the juice to combine all the flavors.
  6. Serve:

    • Pour the Autumn Veggie Harvest Juice into glasses and serve immediately.
  7. Garnish (Optional):

    • Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a slice of apple for a decorative touch.
